Canon Point; Chapter 107, right before the end of the final battle. Far enough in that she knows what the outcome will be, but not the aftermath.
Age; No definite canon age, but mid-thirties
House; Thor -- Olivier is a warrior through and through, and if battle lies at her doorstep will dive in without hesitation.
Power; Preferably strength
Personality; The first child of the affluent Armstrong family, Olivier Armstrong is not used to hearing the word no, and never will be accustomed to it. In fact, if she is told no, she will do everything in her power to make sure that no changes to a yes.
Olivier Armstrong is a fighter.
She wants to make her country a better place, her government needs to meet her high expectations. And she knows there is no better way to change it, than to be at the top. She clawed her way up through the ranks to Major General and runs Briggs with an iron fist. Because of her want to become Fuhrer, she has learned to adapt easily to change. An ability that is key to surviving in the constant winter that plagues her command at Mount Briggs.
She is usually blunt and straightforward, but can be quite manipulative when she wants to. She doesn’t like secrets, not when they’re kept from her, but she will keep secrets for those she trusts. Though, her trust is not easily gained. Part of her job in protecting Amestris’ northern border is to be weary of all strangers and suspicious activities.
She is a strong advocate in leading by example. Keeping herself in top shape and not hesitating to exert force when she has to. Despite the icy attitude that earned her the nickname Ice Queen, her subordinates will follow her to their death. Her fearlessness in battle(and to jump into battle) inspires their faith in her leadership. She holds everyone up to her high expectations, and will not hesitate to confront them if they don’t live up to her expectations, which is her way of encouraging everyone to be the best that they can be.
She is not one for messing around, if she finds someone doesn’t want to meet her expectations, she will not waste her time on them, but write them off completely. She despises the law of equivalent exchange that plagues her country’s alchemy, claiming that it is an easy way out of trying to produce better results.
Instead, she believes in the law of survival of the fittest. Training her troops to attack, and attack first before opponents can even manage a blow. Go big, or go home would definitely be a phrase she would use, encouraging all attacks to be deadly, because any other attack would be futile.
That being said, her personal weakness is that she doesn’t back down. Sometimes this plays out well, such as in chapters 67 & 74 where her pushing got her exactly where she needed to be to help start the coup d’etat to unseat the corrupt top brass. Other times, it gets her into situations where she is seriously injured and still fighting. But, she is someone who would take death on a battlefield over failure.
Her subordinates know this, and will stand behind her through anything. She in return, will do everything possible to protect her subordinates, whether it being taking a risk not to seal up a tunnel that could be brimming with enemies so that they have a way to return home, or taking the full blame for killing a higher ranking official.
She is not fond of foolishness, outright refusing to speak to her brother because he doesn’t address her properly. She even fights him(physically) for claim over the family estate, because she feels he is too feeble-minded to be associated with Armstrong name. She even goes as far as to list her rival for the seat of Fuhrer as the next heir to the Armstrong estates, rather than her brother.(This was partially a strategy to make sure her careful planning fell into the right hands in case anything happened to her, too.)
It is not until later in the series, when he proves his worth in battle that she has a single kind word for him.
Because of her goal to become Fuhrer, she has enlisted the help of family friends in her information gathering network. Her network allows her to stay up to date on events going on throughout the country, giving her the ability to plan ahead for events that would otherwise be a surprise.
She is not a fan of grey areas, preferring for all rules to be black and white and followed to a tee. And if there is a grey area, there better be a good reason for it.
She is not tolerant of physical or emotional weakness, refusing to shed a tear when one of her closest subordinates dies, because he died with a smile on his face.
She places value in all skills that can be used in battle, whether they be hand to hand combat or the alchemy she isn’t fond of. She prides herself on training the best men in the nation’s military and loves having the upper hand over those who don’t meet her expectations.
She is not afraid to break traditions or be unconventional if it will work out in her favor.

Well, that was an eventful couple of weeks, and this place hasn’t soaked up much color, has it? Were you guys not rejoicing at those ridiculous heart boxes full or sappy love notes? Don’t you realize the sooner we get this place back to its former glory the sooner we go home to our own battles?
Oh, yes, the monsters. It still amazes me how many of you don’t know how to properly wield a weapon. The sword should be an extension of your arm, its every movement instinct, not reaction. If you need training meet me in the colosseum in the arena at oh-eight-hundred-hours sharp. I expect those wanting training to be on time. Dedication, hard work, and discipline will be expected of anyone wishing for training. And anyone who thinks you can take it easy during training because I’m a woman, don’t bother showing up. You aren’t worth my time.
